Our 19th hole was here today for lunch. Arriving around 1pm the parking spaces were sparse. We parked by the old Mervyns/JC Penny and walked over. Ordering process - use the touch screen or place it verbally with the order taker. 3rd option: Like many eateries you can place an online order and then pickup at the counter. We gave our order verbally which seemed to be quicker. Paid and gave our name for the order. We ate in. When our order was ready hubby picked it up. Served on a big aluminum tray. Hubby went with the ahi tuna poke. I got the shrimp tacos with rice and beans. Food was fresh and tasty. Most tables sat two or four to a table with the exception of two high top tables by the window which sat six. We were party of five so we took that option.

It was my first visit with plenty parking nearby and at the mall. Service was nice with comfortable seating . Waited more than 30 minute on a busy weekend and it was worth the wait with good food and portion . Battered Fish taco meal - fish were lightly battered and crunchy with light veggies and creamy sauce ( if only there's more sauce to add) , sweet potato fries were crispy and refreshing light kale salad helps balance the meal . 7/10

Such a staple and reasonably priced! It's kind of cool that they have ordering screens now because their menu is pretty expansive nowadays. You can also choose the types of seasonings and sides that you want - I always get the garlic butter sauce (you can ask for more sauce when you pickup your food)! Most of the food is great although sometimes the fish can be a little overcooked on the grill but usually still solid. The staff is usually pleasant and its seat yourself so there's not much interaction unless you need something specific. Post-Covid, they got rid of the condiments bar where you could help yourself so now you do have to ask for specific things.

A first time visit to California Fish Grill....was not disappointed, but there were a few annoyances that warranted a four star review vice and five star. Granted one did not order while seated at a table nor was the food brought to the table, but the staff was patient as I placed my order in their ordering machine. Ordered from their classic menu (the fried seafood selections) their Calamari and Shrimp with a side dish of fish. The main dish came with a slaw and zucchini (in place of fries). It would have been nice if the food was served on a smaller plate to match the photo in their menu. I am sure they would not have shorted me on the food, but it looked as if that was the case as it was served. As for the food, the best part of the meal was the moist and tender fish with a hot crusty coating. The extra portion of fish was served on a separate plate. The slaw, zucchini and shrimp were nothing special, but the calamari was chewy and tasteless. I had to use the tartar sauce only for the calamari. All of the food would fit on the main plate. As for the staff, one member asked how our meal was after we bussed our trays. I relayed my assessment of the calamari and she indicated that I could have asked to have them cook another batch (assuming no extra charge). This interaction saved this review from being a three star review.

Lovely little eatery with booths, tables and counter tables. Order from the kiosk and then wait for your name to be called out. I always order the fish and chips, which consistently tastes fresh each time. There's a choice of 2 or 3 pieces of fried fish. Condiments of vinegar and tartar sauce are available to compliment the food. A fresh bright clean interior with unisex rear restrooms. Will return to try other items besides fish and chips. A great place for seafood.

My 1st time here. I can't believe I never walked in here. Very affordable, delicious food! Family friendly and great options . Great alternative option!

Love the food just wish the portions were a bit larger. But, issue not gonna stop me from going back. Also, seating could be a bit more comfortable. Issue 2 not gonna keep me from going back cause the food is fresh and delicious!

I visited this restaurant for the first time, drawn in by their excellent reviews. I was particularly interested in trying the Shrimp Trio, but unfortunately, it was unavailable when I arrived. Although I was disappointed, I decided to stay and order something else. The restaurant was huge and very clean, with friendly staff who greeted me promptly. I ordered the Miso Salmon Bowl and Breaded Shrimp, both of which were good . The shrimp was a bit dry . I found the prices to be a bit steep compared to the portion sizes. Despite this, I plan to return in the future, hoping that the Shrimp Trio will be available next time.

California Fish Grill in Serramonte is a spot I have been going to on and off through the year since it first opened. In my most recent visit it was honestly pretty good. The interior still remains super clean despite being open for 6+ years. Ordering is pretty easy process too as you can utilize their no contact ordering. The Cajun Salmon Sandwich ($11.99) and Shrimp Trio ($16.99) were the best items I have had as of late. The Cajun Salmon Sandwich has a really nice soft brioche bun. The salmon is so fresh and perfectly cooked plus you can actually taste the cajun flavor they used. The Shrimp Trio was also very fresh and the side options are great as well. Their corn is actually really flavorful and goes well with the rice. Their craft sodas like the root beer and vanilla cream soda. There's not a ton to say about chains like California Fish, but the quality and service can't be denied. It is definitely one of the better options for seafood in the area.

I have been having a craving for Tacos lately. After noticing their selection of Tacos while waiting to order, Grilled Chicken Tacos grabbed my attention. I like the idea of two tacos and two sides. This is what I ordered: 2 chicken tacos - it came with grilled chicken, roasted corn and cabbage. The sides: rice and French Fries With a 12 Fl Oz can of Pepsi I like the portion size for the taco meal I ordered. It is so delicious and satisfying. Service is really good, the staff were friendly and attentive. The other thing I like was the indoor and outdoor seating availability. You can order for dine in or take out. Definitely enjoyed the food and service here.
